Vague Concern + Teenagers= Magic

If your teenager has been a little mouthy and/or sporting a strong sense of entitlement lately, it’s kind of fun and effective to calmly walk into their room, look at them all concerned-like and say “We need to talk about some things but I need some time to gather my thoughts. I’ll let you know when I’m ready.” You wouldn’t believe how magically accommodating and sweet and helpful they become.

I’m no child therapist, guys, but that shit gets results*.

*Results may vary, will likely be temporary and are not guaranteed to work on teenagers who exceptionally assholish.
